Bob Pedersen, Executive Director of Tierra Lucero, has years of experience turning garbage into garden gold. In our area, his Mountain Rich Soil products were revered for their amazing results in returning desertified soil into a rich and fertile foundation for crops that provide abundant harvest. The many ranchers in Northern New Mexico and other forward-thinking individuals whose farms and tables have sufficient by-product (i.e., animal and vegetable waste) are encouraged to inquire concerning Tierra Lucero's community compost collection drive. Tierra Lucero would use the gathered bio-waste to make high-quality Beyond Organic A++ Compost. This in turn would divert buildup of reusable bio-products from already overtaxed landfills, and would be ideal for use on the acreage at Thanksgiving Farms, as well as for production of marketable soil amendments.
